You know the spots. The shaded bridge deck, the steep grade, the intersection that glazes over before your trucks finish their first pass. These roads do not give your crew an easy day, and a single product rarely solves every problem they throw at you.
Think of it like a game plan. No coach walks into a big game with one play and hopes for the best. Winter road management works the same way. No two storms are alike, so the more options you have in the shed, the better your odds of coming out on top.

EnviroTech Services offers a full lineup of anti-icing and deicing products designed to take on the toughest conditions. Here is a look at what we can put to work on your roads.
The Heavy Hitter: Ice Slicer

For dry material, Ice Slicer is a natural mineral ice melter mined in Utah and delivered in a distinctive red color. That color absorbs heat to help speed melting, and it shows your crew and the public exactly where roads have been treated. Fargo, ND city staff found it effective for melting and traction between 15 and minus 5 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Cold Weather Specialists: MeltDown Apex and Apex-C

When the temperature drops, these two are built to keep working.
- MeltDown Apex: An enhanced magnesium chloride brine with a 12 degree Fahrenheit improvement in freeze point over any other liquid deicer. Use it on its own or blend it with salt to speed up melting and add traction.
- MeltDown Apex-C: An enhanced calcium chloride brine with an 8 degree Fahrenheit improvement in 1:1 freeze point compared to 32% calcium chloride.
Used for anti-icing, both help reduce snow pack buildup and make plowing easier, which can mean longer cycle times between routes. Used for deicing in a stream pattern, they push down through the snow pack and break the bond at the pavement.
The Reliable Starters: MeltDown Liquid and Calcium Chloride
- MeltDown Liquid: A magnesium chloride anti-icer and deicer with a low eutectic point, designed for longer lasting performance. It works down to 0 degrees Fahrenheit and is also available in corrosion inhibited versions.
- Calcium Chloride: A colorless, odorless solution that generates heat as it reacts and draws in moisture. It works before a storm to keep ice from bonding, and after to break the bond and melt what has built up.
The Team Boosters: AMP, BetterBrine, Boost, and C-2000 Pro

Salt brine alone can dry out and blow off the road. These products help brine stay on the surface and work harder.
- AMP: Improves how brine bonds to the road and lowers its 1:1 freeze point from 18 to 11 degrees Fahrenheit. It also reduces corrosion by 70% compared to rock salt.
- BetterBrine: A pre-blended brine powered by AMP, with 50% more melting capacity. BetterBrine Pro includes 20% AMP and lowers the working temperature from 18 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Boost with CaCl2 and BoostSB: Additives that boost melting power while providing corrosion inhibition. BoostSB is an organic option.
- C-2000 Pro: An enhanced calcium based deicer made with at least 32% calcium chloride and a patented corn based additive that helps reduce corrosion on highway infrastructure compared to ordinary salt.
